What to Expect

Our journey begins with an initial consultation where we'll discuss your vision and requirements to ensure a perfect fit. Following our discussion, you'll receive a contract within 1-2 business days.

Once the contract is signed, you'll receive an invoice for the deposit. As the event date approaches, I'll handle all necessary preparations and collaborate closely with you or your coordinator to arrange for the optimal setup of tables and chairs in accordance with your layout preferences.

Here’s how it all unfolds:

  • I set up at a table during cocktail hour or another high-traffic time.

  • Guests come up to me, and I, or my admin assistant, will document their full name and take their photo as a reference.

  • I paint each portrait in 10–12 minutes (up to 2 people) using ink and watercolor on cold-pressed paper throughout your reception.

  • Guests whose portraits are completed by the end of the event can take them home right away.

  • Any remaining portraits will be finished in my studio and delivered after the event.

Package Options

Guest Portraits

Live guest portraits bring a personal and whimsical experience to your celebration! They are painted in real time over a 5-hour period, with each piece taking approximately 10–12 minutes, depending on the event's setting and flow. This package includes up to 40 finished portraits total, combining the pieces created live during the event with those completed afterward in my studio. Any additional portraits beyond the included 40 are $25 each and are finished within 4–5 business days. Every portrait is created in ink and watercolor on cold-pressed paper (no facial features), signed, and packaged in a protective sleeve with a backing board.

This package includes:

  • Live painting at your event (up to 5 hours)

  • Up to 40 finished portraits (live + studio combined)

  • Local travel is included within 30 miles of El Paso, IL

  • Styled station signage and setup to guide your guests

Optional Add-Ons:

  • Portraits mailed directly to guests (shipping fees apply)

  • Custom border design (design fees apply)

  • Extended event coverage ($200/hr)

Starting Rate:

  • 4x6” portraits: $1,800+

Guest Portrait “Thank You” Cards

This option blends custom artwork with a heartfelt thank-you for your guests. Each portrait becomes the front of a folded 4x6” or 5x7” card, painted in ink and watercolor. I add a small inscription underneath the artwork — your names, wedding date, or a simple “thank you,” whichever feels right for your day. Inside, I include a handwritten note from you (or a message you choose) so every guest receives something personal and meaningful.

This package includes:

  • On-site painting at your event (up to 5 hours), with any remaining portraits finished in-studio

  • One portrait per guest or couple (final count confirmed before the event)

  • A handwritten thank-you message of your choice

  • Mailing directly to guests, including envelopes and USPS postage

  • Delivery within 2–3 weeks after the wedding

  • A simple spreadsheet template for names, addresses, and message preferences

Optional Customizations:

  • A printed monogram or small custom design

  • Colored borders or envelope liners

  • Different message options for different groups of guests

  • Upgraded paper or envelope styles

If you’d prefer, this can also be done entirely from photo references without any live painting — just let me know and I can share the Studio Portrait Thank You’s option.

Travel and Cancellation Policy

Travel

  • All travel costs are calculated using the current IRS mileage rate for the operating state.

  • Travel and lodging are included for events within 30 miles of my studio.

  • For all other locations, your quote will clearly outline mileage, lodging, and any additional travel expenses.

Cancellation / Date Changes

  • If you need to cancel or change your event date, I will do my best to accommodate the new date.

  • If the new date is unavailable, we can either arrange for a studio-painted portrait set in place of the live service, or I can refund your deposit.

  • If you cancel within 30 days of the event, the deposit becomes non-refundable.
